Neuro surgeon Sanjeev Kumar attended this child and got MRI done. It was found that many layers of the child’s brain and spinal cord had been affected and had fallen off. After this, lumbar fluid (CSF) test and blood test were done, in which acute demyelinating disorder was revealed.
The condition was caused by a rare disease called Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Associated Disease (MOGAD), which can cause severe paralysis in children.

The patient regained consciousness within just two days after proper diagnosis and treatment started on time. As the treatment continued, the spinal cord and brain layers showed improvement and the child started walking again within a month. Currently the patient is under regular follow-up and is completely healthy.
