In view of the severe cold and falling temperature in Jamui district, the administration has taken strict steps for the safety of children. District Magistrate Naveen has issued a big order regarding this on Saturday evening. Under the new order, instructions have been issued to close all the schools in the district. During this period, all government and private schools have been closed. Along with this, instructions have also been given to close all the Anganwadi centres. In the order issued by the DM, it has been said that there will be a complete ban on educational activities up to class five in all the government and private schools of the district including Anganwadi centres.

In the order issued by the District Magistrate, it has been said that this decision has been taken to prevent adverse effects on the health of children due to extreme cold in the morning and evening. In the order issued, it has been said that all the classes from pre-school to class 5 will remain closed from 22 December 2025 to 25 December 2025 so that small children can be protected from getting affected by the cold wave. The district administration has imposed this restriction using the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code, 2023. The administration has changed the timetable not only for lower classes but also for higher classes.

In view of the warnings of the Meteorological Department and the current ground situation, the District Magistrate has entrusted the responsibility of ensuring compliance with this order to the Superintendent of Police, District Education Officer and all Block Development Officers.
