On the other hand, a 35 year old bureaucrat of NITI Aayog has been diagnosed with fourth stage lung cancer. In this matter, the concerns of the people living in Delhi NCR have increased. He told that every year whenever pollution increases in his OPD, the number of cough and cold patients increases. The cough in such cases is dry, which lasts for 4 weeks. Which increases people’s suffering. Apart from this, the problem also increases for those who are asthma patients or are suffering from any other respiratory disease. At this time OPD runs completely full. This happens every year with people living in Delhi.
New people are becoming asthma patients
Dr. Ujjwal Prakash told that in the last few years, he has seen that such pollution patients come to his OPD, who never had any problem related to breathing, but for the first time people are coming complaining of cough and cold as well as difficulty in breathing. Among such people, new asthma patients are also continuously increasing.
He told that this has happened in the last few years. When new patients are continuously coming to OPD, who are having difficulty in breathing. Coughing. I am having a cold. Water is coming continuously from the nose. He told that nose bleeding is not a common thing, but it can happen if there is persistent cold and dryness in the nose. He said that the increase in new patients is a matter of concern.
Cancer is happening even in those who do not smoke cigarettes
Dr. Ujjwal Prakash told that in the last few years it has been seen that those who do not smoke cigarettes, which is also not genetic. Still, lung cancer is increasing rapidly among them. He said that the continuous increase in lung cancer is a matter of great concern. Pollution can be one reason behind this, but there can be many other reasons behind it. They should also be examined closely.
He told that lung cancer has been increasing in the last few years among young people, who are between 25 to 35 years of age. We need to see why this is happening. Is pollution the only reason? If pollution is the only reason, then it should be avoided and the government should take necessary steps.
