60th All India DGP-IGP Conference: A roadmap on law and order and terrorism was prepared in the Raipur DGP conference on 29 November in the presence of PM Modi and Amit Shah. Focus was on Naxalism, counter terrorism, women’s safety, AI investigation. Under Vision 2047, security was discussed and ranking of police stations was announced.

Raipur News: The road map for the country’s security was presented in the 60th All India DGP-IGP Conference held in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. In this meeting held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, there was a comprehensive discussion on strengthening the law and order of the country and dealing with terrorism. Describing national security as paramount, PM Modi said, internal security is indispensable to realize the dream of a developed India under Vision 2047.
In the conference, Home Ministry officials gave a special presentation to PM Modi, in which there was a detailed discussion on Left Wing Extremism (Naxalism), Counter Terrorism, Disaster Management, Women’s Safety and the use of Forensic Science. Amit Shah said, a befitting reply will be given on every front of terrorism, whether it is traditional or ‘white-collar’ terrorism. Emphasis was laid on speeding up investigation through AI and digital tools. A plan was made to strengthen the security grid in Naxal affected areas and increase surveillance in the border areas.
Country’s security paramount
While addressing the DGP-IGP, PM Modi bluntly said, “The security of the country is paramount. Our police force has to be equipped with modern technology so that zero tolerance policy can be adopted against crime and terrorism.” Excellence ranking of more than 16,000 police stations was also announced in the conference, in which Mandsaur police station of Madhya Pradesh got a place in the top-10. In the special session on women’s safety, the PM called for strengthening ‘Mission Shakti’.
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval also participated in the session. This roadmap will give impetus to police reforms, and the goal of terror-free India by 2047 will be achieved. The findings of the conference will soon be given a policy shape. This event proved to give a new direction to internal security.
