Bilaspur. Devesh Sahu of Durg has achieved such a position in the examination of Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC Result 2024), which thousands of candidates are looking at as inspiration today. Devesh, who did not give up even after failing in three consecutive interviews and two others, proved by securing first rank in the third attempt that failure is never a full stop but a comma that comes before success. Devesh’s unique way of preparation, distance from social media and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), is now becoming a new model for the youth preparing.
After completing graduation, Devesh Sahu prepared for CGPSC from a private coaching institute. After coaching for one and a half years, he stayed at home for two years and continued his preparation without any disturbance. During this period, he gave interviews thrice and finally achieved success.
Devesh Sahu told Local 18 that technology played a big role in his success. He prepared notes of current affairs, sociology and philosophy with the help of AI. He also used digital resources including many standard books and various coaching materials.
distanced from social media
Devesh did not use platforms like Instagram and Facebook at all during his preparation. He believes that social media reduces the focus of the candidates and wastes time unnecessarily.

Family support and background
Devesh is the son of retired electrician Holder Prasad Sahu. He studied from Bhilai Sector-10 Senior Secondary School and then completed engineering from GEC Jagdalpur.
don’t be afraid of failure
After his success, Devesh Sahu gave a message to the candidates and said, ‘Failure is a comma, not a full stop. Consider studies not as a struggle, but as a responsibility. Read for at least 8 hours every day and identify and correct mistakes. Devesh’s success is not just a story of hard work but a victory of patience, proper use of technology and self-confidence.
