There has been a sudden political stir in Jharkhand in the last 24 hours. First news came that Hemant Soren is in talks with BJP. JMM immediately denied this. But the next moment the Governor of Jharkhand reached Delhi. When an attempt was made to talk to BJP leaders about this, they remained silent. In such a situation, speculations are gaining strength.
Ranchi/New Delhi: Whatever has happened in the politics of Jharkhand in the last 24 hours has raised the political temperature from Ranchi to Delhi. What seemed to be just a ‘rumor’ till yesterday afternoon, turned into a ‘possibility’ by the evening. The story started with the claim of sources that Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren are in Delhi and are in touch with the BJP high command. JMM immediately denied this, but Jharkhand Governor Santosh Gangwar reaching Delhi at the same time and meeting Home Minister Amit Shah – this cannot be a mere coincidence. However, the central leadership of BJP has maintained silence on the entire matter.
Some of the main reasons for the possibility of this sudden change in power equation in the state
- For the last several days, leaders of Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha have not been seen together on a public platform in Jharkhand.
- JMM not getting a seat in the Bihar Assembly elections under the grand alliance agreement and it not taking part in the elections there.
- Taking assistance from the Center for ‘Maiya Samman Yojana’ and various other schemes running in Jharkhand.
- The contradictory statements being made by the state Congress leadership were definitely pointing towards some trouble.
- Chief Minister not being present at the Sarkar Aapke Dwar program and the program getting cancelled.
- Absence of RJD and Congress ministers in the program of Flying Institute in Dumka.
- Posters of RJD and Congress leaders missing from the posters of appointment letter distribution program in Morabadi Maidan.
- This became a topic of discussion between some leaders of Congress and RJD after the poster was not put up.
