Pilibhit News: People of Beri village of Pilibhit risk their lives and safety every day to go towards the city through temporary wooden bridges built on Devha river. Due to the negligence of the administration over the years, this problem remains the same, and the common man has to depend on dangerous roads for his daily work.

These small bridges have become a part of the everyday life of the villagers. People resort to these risky bridges every day. This is the situation of Beri village situated just 5 kilometers away from the tehsil. To cross the river here, the people of the village have built three wooden bridges at short distances. Their width is only 4 feet. The distance of DM office from the school is only 6 kilometers and the distance of Sadar Tehsil and SDM office is about 5 kilometers. Despite this, the district administration is not paying attention to this.
Here MP Jitin Prasad is the Union Minister and Sadar MLA Sanjay Singh Gangwar is the Minister of State for Sugarcane Development and Sugar Mills in the state government. Sanjay Singh Gangwar has been MLA for the last 8 years, but still the problems of common people remain the same. These temporary wooden bridges are also used by people going to Bareilly and Uttarakhand, as it is close to the city. Local people are continuously demanding that the government should pay attention in this direction and build a permanent bridge at this place.

50 thousand spent on building a bridge
The people who built a temporary bridge on the river say that they have built this bridge for the convenience of the general public. It cost about Rs 50 thousand to build a bridge. People pay Rs 10 on this bridge as per their convenience. There is continuous traffic here from 5 am in the morning to 7 to 8 pm. For those who do not have money, arrangements for scanners have also been made, so that they can easily cross the bridge.

Although this bridge is built for the convenience of the people, there is a risk of accidents due to it. Villagers use these bridges at their own risk. Government officials, leaders and administrative people come and go, but for years people of dozens of villages have been facing this difficulty, which no one pays attention to.
