In the video that is going viral on social media, Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation Ram Balak Paswan is seen having fun with a bar lady at a wedding ceremony. In the video, he is seen having fun with a dancer dancing to Bhojpuri tunes like “Kamariya Gole-Gole…”. Not only this, he is also seen taking out notes from his purse and giving it to the bar lady. The people present around him are also seen enjoying this atmosphere a lot. Interestingly, the Deputy Mayor himself said in an interview that he is a “very easy-going and common man” and he participates in any social function in a normal manner.
Drunken people created ruckus, waved bottles, violated law
The most controversial part of this video is the scene in which, despite prohibition being imposed, a person is seen dancing drunk with a full liquor bottle in his hand. He is dancing in front of the Deputy Mayor, waving the bottle, as if the prohibition law remained only on paper. Many other people are also seen drinking alcohol openly in the video. A person wearing a coat and pant is seen carrying a glass of liquor and serving it to others, due to which the entire atmosphere of the ceremony seems like an open ‘liquor festival’. After this scene surfaced on social media, people started raising questions that when complete prohibition is in force in Bihar, then how is it possible to serve and drink liquor openly like this? People are also taking a jibe at the role of the administration and whether the law is only for the general public?
Questions raised on Paswan who was Jansuraj candidate, police engaged in investigation
As soon as this matter went viral, the stir in political circles intensified. It is noteworthy that Ram Balak Paswan has also been a candidate for Kalyanpur assembly seat from Prashant Kishore’s party Jansuraj. In such a situation, the emergence of this video is being considered as a big blow to his political image.
