Uttarakhand Weather Update: According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the plain districts in the morning may remain around 3°C–6°C, due to which fog may appear dense in the early morning. There is a possibility of reduced visibility in areas like Rishikesh, Dehradun, Haridwar and Kashipur, due to which road travelers will have to be careful.
Rishikesh: The weather in Uttarakhand will again show the effect of cold and winter winds on 13 December 2025. Like previous days, on this day too the temperature in many parts of the state will be much lower than normal and the coolness of the winds will be felt in the entire state. While there is a possibility of fog and frost in the morning in the plains, light snowfall or cloud activity in the Himalayan regions can keep the weather harsh throughout the day. Due to this change in weather, people will have to face severe chill as soon as they wake up in the morning, while even in the afternoon, cold wind and clouds will keep the temperature down. At night the temperature may again drop to very cold, due to which there is a possibility of frost and snow accumulation in the hilly areas.
According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in the plain districts in the morning may remain around 3°C–6°C, due to which fog may appear dense in the early morning. There is a possibility of reduced visibility in areas like Rishikesh, Dehradun, Haridwar and Kashipur, due to which those traveling on the road will have to be careful. In hilly and elevated areas the morning temperature will be between –2°C to 1°C and may feel even lower due to “Wind Chill”.
Afternoon time may provide some relief, but the cold will not go away completely. If the sun shines in the plains, the maximum temperature can reach around 13°C–16°C. But strong cold winds and cloud activity will not allow the temperature to rise. The day temperature in the mountains will remain between 7°C–11°C, due to which the feeling of cold will continue during the day also. Due to clouds, sunlight cannot be seen clearly and due to this the weather will remain under the influence of cold wind.
The temperature will start falling again in the evening and it will become colder at night. The night temperature in the plains will be around 4°C–6°C and in the mountains it can go up to –3°C to 1°C. The air will become colder at night, due to which shivering will be felt in the body and there will be a possibility of frostbite. In hilly areas where snow has already fallen, the snow layer may become thicker at night, making the roads more slippery.
