Sitamarhi News: Student Divya Bharti says that one has to go to Muzaffarpur or other cities to study MCA, which increases problems like insecurity and long distance travel especially for girls. Many parents hesitate in sending their daughters out, due to which they are deprived of higher education.
BCA course has been running in four colleges of Sitamarhi district for years. But MCA studies have not started yet. Due to lack of Master of Computer Application (MCA) facility at the local level, the youth of the district moving towards technical education have to face a lot of problems. Students who have done BCA are forced to move to other districts for higher studies. Which is challenging from all aspects – time, money and security. Students Sujit Kumar, Akash Kumar and Nishant Priyadarshi say that due to lack of MCA in the district, career progress stops and many talents are not able to move forward.
Students say that the examination system should also be done at the local level. They should not be forced to go out and take exams again and again. Shalu Kumari and Divya Bharti say that one has to go to Muzaffarpur or other cities to study MCA, which increases problems like insecurity and long distance travel, especially for girls. Many parents hesitate in sending their daughters out, due to which they are deprived of higher education. The girl students said that if MCA is started in Sitamarhi, then they can study near home and make their career in a safe environment.
Hundreds of youth every year lack options.
Due to lack of MCA and other technical courses, hundreds of youth of the district face lack of options every year. Even after studying BCA, when they have to go out for Masters, many students leave their studies due to financial constraints. Students say that if MCA is started in the district and BCA exams are also conducted here, then both the thinking and confidence of the youth coming from ordinary families to move up to the top will be strengthened. This will also increase the possibilities of IT sector in the district.

Meanwhile, the college administration has also given positive indications on the demands of the students. Principal of SRK Goenka College, Dr. Om Prakash Rai said that a proposal is being sent to the university for approval of professional and technical courses. He said that the demand to ensure the examination system of BCA in Sitamarhi will also be placed at the university level. The college is making serious efforts towards starting MCA and other high technical courses, so that the youth of the district do not have to go out and can get better opportunities near their homes.
