Ayodhya: Lord Ram’s city Ayodhya is once again being discussed in the entire country. The reason for this is the demand to change the names of the Mughal era in Ayodhya. The sages and local residents of Ayodhya agree that after the construction of the Ram temple, the time has come to change the names of streets and roads from Mughal era names. The residents of Ayodhya have given their reactions on this matter.
Ramadal Trust President Kalki Ram said that when the Mughal invaders came to India, they established their rule here only by force and inscribed their names on roads and places. He said that the roads of Delhi also have such names like Humayun Road and Babar Road. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also said that the symbols of slavery would be removed in the next 10 years. Therefore, now the government should implement an ordinance to remove the names of Mughal invaders and keep the names of these places in accordance with the sovereignty of India.
Many neighborhoods with Islamic names
Sitaram said that India is a cultural and spiritual country. Mughal invaders attacked the culture by changing the names of various areas, cities and metropolitan cities for Islamization. Ayodhya is an ancient and divine city, where there are many neighborhoods with Islamic names, like Kaniganj, Raiganj, Kajiana, Maqbara and Badi Bua Urdu Bazaar. Now the time has come to change these names, so that the eternal culture of India can be protected.
Lord Ram’s temple has been built
Local resident Pawan Pandey said that the localities with Muslim names in Ayodhya are considered symbols of slavery. Now the time has come that the names of these localities should be changed, because the temple of Lord Ram has been built. Local Kamalakant Sundaram told that Ayodhya is the sacred birthplace of Lord Ram, but during the Mughal and British periods, Islamic naming was done to reduce the importance of this place. However, a campaign to remove these names is already going on.
