Weekend Lockdown: Everything will be closed in Delhi from Friday evening. This restriction will remain in force till Monday morning.
Coronavirus cases in Delhi: On April 1, there were 10,498 active corona virus cases of corona virus infection in the national capital, but till Thursday there are 54,309 active cases in the city.
According to the data of the Ministry of Health, at the national level, an increase of 152 per cent has been registered in active cases of infection between 1 to 15 April. More than 17,000 cases of Corona virus infection were reported in Delhi on Wednesday, after which the capital has topped the number of the most affected cities in the country. In this way Delhi overtook Mumbai. Talking about the maximum number of cases of one day in Mumbai, this number stood at 11,163 on 4 April. In view of the increasing cases of infection, the Delhi government has announced a weekend lockdown.
However, the night curfew was announced a week ago in Delhi. On April 1, there were 10,498 active corona virus cases of corona virus infection in the national capital, but till Thursday there are 54,309 active cases in the city. In this way there is an increase of 417.32 per cent in active cases or 43,811 cases. There were 55,005 active cases of corona virus in Mumbai on 1 April as compared to Delhi. In Mayanagari now this figure has increased to 85,494, which is 55.42 percent or 30,489 cases more.
On the other hand, when it comes to the active cases of the most affected state of Maharashtra by Corona virus, till Thursday this figure was 6,20,060, but on April 1, there were only 3,66,533 cases in Maharashtra. Since then, an increase of 69.16 percent has been registered in the active cases at the state level.
