Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot said that the Delhi government has started the campaign by converting all its cars into electric. All the leased or rented cars used for the movement of Delhi government officials will be converted to electric within a period of six months. We are committed to making Delhi pollution free. This goal can only be achieved with the cooperation and participation of the people. I urge all Delhiites who are planning to buy a new four wheeler to buy clean, green electric vehicles.

Many offers on buying electric vehicles under Delhi’s EV policy
On Sunday, Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot has appealed to the owners of four wheelers to buy electric vehicles. He said that this week we will make Delhiites aware of the benefits of EV four-wheelers compared to petrol or diesel vehicles. According to Delhi’s EV policy, many offers are being made on the purchase of electric vehicles.

Incentives up to Rs 3 lakhs under EV policy
Explain that Delhi is the first state in the country to give incentives on the purchase of electric four wheelers to beat air pollution. Kailash Gehlot said that up to Rs 3 lakh incentive amount is provided under Delhi EV policy, which includes 1.5 lakh subsidy, registration and road tax exemption. This is the highest subsidy in any state of India. Under the Delhi EV policy, the subsidy given on electric cars is reducing their total cost by 30 percent. Private drivers can switch to EV from a diesel car and save Rs 1050 per month.
