According to the information, this incident has come to light on NH 27 in Kotwa police station area on Friday. The driver first hit the cyclist and after the collision, this person got trapped in the bonnet of the car. The car driver did not stop the vehicle and took it eight kilometers away. After that, the driver of the car suddenly hit the brakes and dropped the old man from the bonnet and then trampled him to death. After the incident, the accused driver fled with the vehicle.
At the same time, the dead elderly has been identified as 70-year-old Shankar Chaudhur, a resident of Bangra village of Kotwa police station area. Although the police seized the car in Piprakothi police station area, the driver and other occupants of the car are absconding.

It is said that the cyclist Shankar Chaudhur was crossing NH 27 near Bangra Chowk. At the same time, a speeding car coming from Gopalganj hit Shankar Chaudhur’s bicycle. Shankar Chaudhur jumped on the bonnet of the car after the collision and grabbed the wiper by clinging to it. He kept on shouting and pleading to stop the car. The people standing on the roadside who saw this, also shouted loudly to stop the car.

Some people chased the car, but the car driver continued to drive at the same high speed. Seeing the people following, the driver suddenly hit the brakes near Kadam Chowk in Kotwa and Shankar Chaudhur fell forward. Then the car driver ran away trampling the old man. During this, he died on the spot itself.
