The driver first hit the cyclist and after the collision, this person got trapped in the bonnet of the car. The car driver did not stop the vehicle and took it eight kilometers away. After that, the driver of the car suddenly hit the brakes and dropped the old man from the bonnet and then trampled him to death. After the incident, the accused driver fled with the vehicle.
At the same time, the dead elderly has been identified as 70-year-old Shankar Chaudhur, a resident of Bangra village of Kotwa police station area. Although the police seized the car in Piprakothi police station area, the driver and other occupants of the car are absconding.

The people standing on the roadside who saw this, also shouted loudly to stop the car.

Seeing the people following, the driver suddenly hit the brakes near Kadam Chowk in Kotwa and Shankar Chaudhur fell forward. Then the car driver ran away trampling the old man. During this, he died on the spot itself.
