IMD Weather Today: Currently, mainly two weather conditions are being seen in India. On one hand, with the falling temperature in Delhi and surrounding areas, there has also been a huge decline in the level of Air Quality Index i.e. AQI. The situation due to air pollution is so bad that breathing in open air has become difficult. On the other hand, due to the continuous development of new systems in the Bay of Bengal, there are chances of cyclonic storm ‘Senayar’ becoming stronger and moving further.
IMD Weather Today: A continuous decline in temperature is being seen in North and East India. Snowfall has also occurred in the upper areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Because of this, a decline in temperature is being recorded in the plains of North India. With the falling of mercury, the old problem in Delhi-NCR has deepened again. Despite all the measures, air pollution has worsened the situation. On Wednesday 26 November 2025, the AQI (Air Quality Index) level reached 382 in Bawana area of the country’s capital. This situation falls in the ‘very poor’ category. In such circumstances, going out of the house without a mask can be harmful to health. This situation is especially dangerous for children, elderly and people suffering from respiratory problems. On the other hand, due to the continuous formation of new systems in the Bay of Bengal, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in the coastal areas. There are chances of torrential rain especially in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. There is also a possibility of cyclonic storm ‘Senayar’ becoming stronger.
