Shimla. Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri made a big announcement for HRTC employees. Deputy CM announced that the outstanding amount of 3 percent dearness allowance of HRTC employees will be paid by March 31, 2026. This payment will be made in 4 installments. He also talked about paying the pending medical bills of the employees for 6 months, for this the Deputy CM also gave instructions to the officials.
The Deputy CM made this announcement while presiding over the 162nd meeting of the Board of Directors of HRTC at Peterhof, Shimla on Thursday. On this occasion, Deputy CM launched ‘Him Bus Portal’, through which people will now be able to get Him Cards made online, which will be delivered to their destination through post.
Apart from this, the Deputy CM also held a meeting of the Board of Directors of Himachal Pradesh Urban Transport and Bus Stand Management and Development Authority. Asset Management Application and HIMBUS Card Portal were also launched in the meeting, through which now along with the facility of making all types of passes and cards online at home, the facility of booking will also be available at Lokmitra centres.
In the meeting, HRTC signed MoU with Axis Bank, UCO Bank and Punjab National Bank to facilitate credit score with salary accounts. Under this, a common service center will also be established for ticket booking. At present about 6000 CSCs are working in the state.
Through the ‘Asset Management Application’, the operation, maintenance and monitoring of assets of bus stands can be made more transparent and effective. Deputy CM said that 410 shops have been allotted on rent at bus stands across the state, which generate an income of Rs 45 lakh every month.
In the meeting, it was decided to construct shopping complex and parking complex at Theog Bazaar, car parking and multipurpose hall at Mandi Bus Stand. The Deputy Chief Minister gave clear instructions to speed up the construction work of bus stands of Thunag, Darlaghat, Hamirpur, Baijnath, Bhoranj and Fatehpur. He issued instructions to quickly complete the tender process for car parking and commercial complex in Mandi-Bharadi, Jaisinghpur and old bus stand of Chamba in Bilaspur, new bus stand in Baddi and to take forward the proposed projects in a time bound manner. Additional Chief Secretary Transport R.D. Nazim, Vice Chairman HRTC Ajay Verma, Managing Director HRTC Dr. Nipun Jindal, Director Transport Neeraj Kumar, Special Secretary (Finance) Vijay Vardhan, Special Secretary Tourism Vijay Kumar, Special Secretary (PWD) Harbans Singh, all non-official members of the Board of Directors and senior officials of HRTC and BSMDA were also present on the occasion.
