Una.There was a stir near the railway line on Upper Araniala Road in Una city of Himachal Pradesh when the body of a newborn baby was found in the bushes. In the morning, the migrant workers present in the area saw the baby wrapped in clothes and immediately informed the local people and the police.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Vigilance team including Sadar police station reached the spot and cordoned off the area and started investigation. There is an atmosphere of deep anger and sympathy among the people around the newborn being found dead. At the same time, the police is taking this incident very seriously and interrogating the migrants living nearby. The Health Department has also started the process of scanning the records of recent deliveries, so that the child can be identified and those responsible behind this inhuman act can be reached.
Actually, Arun Kumar, resident of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, and Surjit, resident of Badaun, had reached a garage located near the truck union to repair the car. The two men, who had gone towards the railway line to defecate, noticed a bundle of clothes lying in the bushes. When I went closer, I saw that the newborn baby was in a dead state. Both of them immediately informed the police and local people. Vigilance police station employees were the first to reach the spot, while Sadar police station team also reached the spot. In the initial investigation, the baby was found dead, after which the body was sent to the regional hospital Una in 108 ambulance.
ASP Surendra Sharma said that the police have taken possession of the body and started the post-mortem process. Nearby migrant workers are being questioned and records of recent deliveries have been sought from the health department. He said that the matter is being investigated from every angle and those responsible will be traced soon.
