Cuttack: A 23-year-old college student committed suicide by video calling his girlfriend in Cuttack. According to the information received from the reports, the victim student could not be saved, although the girl reached his house and tried to inform the neighbors, but by then it was too late. The student who committed suicide has been identified as Manoj Kumar Behera of Dhamashala in Jajpur district. Manoj Kumar, a first year MCA student of Cuttack’s ‘Sri Sri University’, was living in a rented house in Sandhapur village of the district.
According to The New Indian Express (TNIE) report, Manoj was in a relationship with a girl who lived just a short distance from his rented flat. According to the report, Manoj took this dangerous step on Tuesday afternoon when both were on a video call. According to the news report, this incident took place on Tuesday at 4 pm when the student was on a video call with his girlfriend from his laptop. Suddenly Manoj immediately got up and locked the room from inside. After some time she hanged herself from the ceiling of the room, the girl watched the whole horrific video of the incident on the laptop.

Without losing time, the girl ran towards her lover’s house and knocked loudly on the locked room from inside. Hearing the voice of the girl, other neighbors reached the spot. According to the report of The New Indian Express, the neighbors broke the door and took the young man to the SCB Medical College Hospital. However, the doctors in the hospital declared Manoj Behera brought dead. However, it is not yet known that due to which the student took such a big step.
