He just sprinkles the seeds. Apart from this, there is no need to do much in this crop. He told that the farmers here earn good income from the cultivation of red greens.
ready in 30 days
Mohammad Asin, a farmer from Araria district, who cultivates red greens on his half acre of land, said that red greens are ready in just 30 days. He told that this crop becomes ready after 1-30 days, after which this crop is cut and sold. He told that currently these red greens are available at the rate of Rs 20-30 per kg. He told that by cultivating this red greens, we earn good income in 30 days.
Farmer Mohammad Asin told in a special conversation with Local 18 that red greens are currently being sold in the market at the rate of Rs 48 per kg. He told that he himself goes to the market and sells red greens to big shopkeepers. He told that the farmers here earn very good income in a very short time by cultivating red greens.
It is beneficial for health
Farmer Mohammad Asin, resident of Chhoti Rampur in Araria district, told Local 18 that he earns more than Rs 3 lakh in a year by cultivating vegetables on one or two acres of land. He told that different types of farming are done in different seasons. He told that after the vegetables are ready, they go to the market on bikes and sell them. He told that red greens are also beneficial for health and doctors also recommend eating red greens.
Mohammad Asin, a farmer from Chhoti Rampur village of Araria district, while talking to Local 18, further said that along with farming, he also does animal husbandry. He told that 8-10 cows and buffaloes are kept in animal husbandry. He also told that he sells 20 liters of milk daily. Earns more than Rs 5 lakh annually from farming and animal husbandry.
