Bilaspur News: As soon as paddy procurement started in Chhattisgarh, 140 new computer operators were appointed in Bilaspur district under the alternative arrangement. Before joining, he was assured of permanent work for six months, but after working for just 15 days, the company suddenly dismissed everyone without notice. Neither salary was given nor information about cancellation of tender. These youth, who left employment and went to work in paddy procurement centres, have now become completely unemployed and are facing financial crisis. The operators have appealed for justice by submitting a memorandum to the administration with three-point demands.
Operators suddenly removed after working for 15 days
With the beginning of the procurement season on 15th November in Bilaspur district, BOMBAY INTEGRATED SECURITY (IN) LTD. 140 computer operators were appointed by the company. They were told that they would get work for at least six months during the paddy procurement period. But after 15 days he was fired from the job without giving any reason.
Neither salary nor information received
Operators say that the tender of BIS company was cancelled, but its official letter or information was not given to the employees. After the sudden removal, neither the outstanding payment was released nor any alternative employment arrangement was made.
Young people had left their old jobs and are now completely unemployed.
Operator Kunal Sande said that he applied by trusting the government’s notification and was also appointed. He said, “I was a computer operator at the Dabripara centre. I left my previous job and came here, but was fired without any notice.”
Nikhil Pandey told that, “I was posted in Sarkanda Paddy Procurement Center. After working for 15 days, we were removed. We did not even get the outstanding salary. Earlier I used to work in a private hospital. Now I don’t even have money to repay the loan. Get the job immediately, this is the demand.”
Three-point demands – emphasis on employment and compensation
The operators have made the following demands from the administration, alternative employment arrangements should be made for all the 140 operators. Information about cancellation of tender of BIS company was not given, this should be investigated. Six months’ salary should be provided as compensation, so that it can be helped in finding a new job. There is a lot of anger among the operators due to its removal without information. He said that if a solution is not found soon, they will be forced to protest collectively.
