In fact, according to flower sellers, on one hand the trend of palaces is increasing, on the other hand, compared to earlier, their original flowers have now been replaced by artificial flowers. Due to which the people associated with small flower business have had a very bad season this year and they are now facing huge losses in this business.
Artificial flowers changed the picture
Now artificial flowers have also become a big trend, due to which people are making less decorations with original flowers. He said that this time his season has been much slower than in previous years, because every time he had so much work that he could not even eat bread due to work. But now due to less work of flowers, they are supporting themselves only by selling flowers and are facing crisis in this business.
This wedding season was a loss
Jayaram told Local18 that he has been associated with the flower business for the last 40 years. This time during the wedding season, small traders have suffered huge losses. Where the outside of the houses were decorated up to 20 feet with marigold flowers for Rs 3500, now artificial chunni and flowers have taken over that place.
Flower decoration depends on the price of different flowers. This decoration reaches up to Rs 30,000. There is no fixed price for flower decoration, but this time they did not get much work and due to which they could not make any profit. The palace people are now employing their own artisans to get more decorations done using artificial flowers. Because of which those people are no longer getting so much work from the market. He said that while original flower decoration costs Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000, artificial flower decoration costs between Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000.
