New Zealand’s Tautari Sanders and his partner bought a 10-year-old sofa. While cleaning it, he found a message written in the style of a hidden secret code. Initially they thought it was a plea for help, but later when the truth was revealed, people became emotional.
Sofa in our homes is a place where we relax, sit and talk with family. But have you ever thought that there might be a deep secret hidden under the cushions of your sofa? Something similar happened with New Zealand resident Tautari Sanders and her partner. He had bought a second-hand sofa from a friend, which was in his house for the last ten years. But when the couple recently decided to deep clean the sofa, they found something unexpected that shocked them. As the couple removed the covering to give the sofa a deep clean, they noticed a strange message written on the inner cushion, similar to a secret code, and a name was also written on the other side of the sofa.
Tautari told Newsweek, “We thought it was strange. We were worried that it might be a cry for help from someone in poor working conditions.” Since the couple knew that this sofa was made in Vietnam, they tried to understand the message using translation applications, but they were not successful. Unable to understand the message, Toutari and his partner decided on the best way to solve this mystery. He shared a picture of the text on Reddit. “We know this is a great way to gather information from people around the world,” Tautari said. He soon received a reply and the real significance of the message was beyond all his speculations. It was not a desperate appeal, but the message actually turned out to be a poem, probably written by one of the sofa makers.
