The UN Climate COP30 has been evacuated due to a fire inside the venue in Belém, Brazil.
BBC journalists saw flames and smoke in the pavilion area before they were rushed away.
The Brazilian government says the fire is now under control and no one has been injured.
Orange flames pierced the tarp covering the site, which is located on a former airfield. Video shows a man spraying a fire extinguisher on the fire before fleeing.
It is not yet known what caused the fire. A witness told the BBC he believes the cause was an electrical fire.
A woman in a wheelchair was taken away, but it is unclear if this was related to the fire.
Thousands of people attend UN climate talks, including members of delegations from around the world.
Nearly 200 countries are trying to agree on how to move forward in the fight against climate change.
A member of the UK delegation said they were returning to their accommodation and the fire had disrupted negotiations.
The BBC has asked the UN, which is running the summit, for more information on the cause of the fire and its possible impacts.
