New Delhi. On 7 April, the government had given permission to vaccinate employees in offices. The result of this has been that a large part of the data on vaccination (Covid-19 Vaccination) that came out from many big cities of the country is from the employees of corporate companies. However, due to vaccination on such a large scale, once again the talk of inequalities regarding the vaccine is coming to the fore. Because a large part of the country’s workforce is working in the unorganized sector.
Understand the situation in statistics
According to the report of The Indian Express, from 7 April to last Wednesday, 69 thousand 170 shots have been given in the campuses of Tata Consultancy Services located in many cities. Centum Electronics of Bangalore has done 48 thousand 313 vaccinations so far. Whereas, in the case of Infosys, this figure is 28 thousand 493 and in Maruti Suzuki it is 22 thousand 472. IT companies top the list of vaccinations in offices.
Around 20.36 lakh immunizations have been done so far in offices in economic hubs like Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Gurugram, Noida and Chennai. This is more than 12 percent of the total vaccination figures of the top 7 metro cities of the country. According to the report, one thing is clear from this that even after the new vaccine policy, which is going to be implemented from June 21, private hospitals will continue to get 25 percent of the vaccine. Corporate companies usually tie-up with them.

In this way, three things stand out from the ongoing vaccination program-
first, The data shows that the vaccine policy regarding offices has promoted vaccination in these top companies. These companies contribute significantly to the GDP of the country. However, now due to this, the need to make such a policy comes to the fore for the unorganized sectors and the at-risk category as well.
Second, Vaccine supplies are limited and large companies are easily getting 25 per cent of the vaccination due to strong economic conditions. After this, a system will have to be prepared by targeting specific sections for vaccination from 75 percent of the vaccines controlled by the government.
third, The data shows that a section of the population is getting better health systems, better vaccination systems. In such a situation, a strategy will also be needed for that population, where medical facilities are not good. This step is also important in view of the third wave.
