New Delhi. The Supreme Court Collegium has sent a recommendation to the Center reiterating its recommendation to appoint Saurabh Kirpal as a judge of the Delhi High Court. The Collegium says that every person has the right to have sexual orientation according to his mind. Due to the openness of Saurabh Kripal regarding his sexual orientation, his candidature as a judge cannot be ruled out. Apart from this, the collegium said that Saurabh Kripal’s behavior has always been excellent and his appointment as a judge will increase diversity in the bench.
Saurabh Kripal’s partner is foreign
The collegium also says that the partners of many people holding constitutional posts have been foreign nationals. In such a situation, there is no justification for rejecting his name because of being a foreign partner. Please tell that Saurabh Kripal, son of former CJI BN Kripal, is gay (gay) and his partner is a Swiss citizen. The Supreme Court collegium said that the proposal for appointment of Saurabh Kripal as a High Court judge has been pending for more than five years, which needs to be expedited.
