Varanasi : The nights of UP have become cold now. Due to the passing of western disturbance, the maximum and minimum temperatures have also decreased in different districts of the state. Due to this, now melting has also started to be felt. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) estimates that after just two days, a slight drop in the maximum and minimum temperatures will again be seen in the state. Along with this, outbreak of cold wave will also be seen in different districts of the state.
According to the information received from the Zonal Meteorological Center located in Amausi, Lucknow, the weather will be dry in both the eastern and western divisions of UP on December 7. In such a situation, light to moderate fog can be seen in different districts of the state during morning and late night. However, at present no warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department regarding fog and cold wave.
Melting will increase as evening approaches
The weather department has forecast that on Sunday, Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Kanpur, Sitapur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Pilibhit, Etawah, Kannauj, Jhansi, Ayodhya, Amethi, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Kansagaj, Azamgarh, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Sonbhadra, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, A blanket of fog will be seen in Saharanpur, Firozabad, Unnao, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Rampur, Bareilly, Sultanpur, Moradabad and Ghaziabad in the early morning. The sun will shine as the day progresses. But as soon as the sun goes down in the evening, melting will start showing its wrath.
Fog will be seen in Lucknow also
There will be a white blanket of fog in the state capital Lucknow on Sunday morning. However, as the day progresses the sun will shine here. It is forecast that today the minimum temperature in Lucknow will be around 10 and maximum around 25 degrees Celsius. On the other hand, the morning and night of Noida adjacent to Delhi will also be very cold. Today the minimum temperature here is expected to be 9 and maximum 23 degrees Celsius.
Temperature will drop due to new western disturbance
BHU meteorologist Professor Manoj Kumar Srivastava said that due to the passing of western disturbance, the cold has now increased in UP. Then a new western disturbance is coming. In such a situation, the temperature will drop again after the next two days.

The lowest minimum temperature in UP in the last 24 hours was recorded in Kanpur. The minimum temperature recorded here was 5.0 degrees Celsius. There was dense fog with visibility of 600 meters in Varanasi and Agra.
