Fog In Chandauli: This year the cold has arrived prematurely around Chandauli and Mughalsarai. Dense fog has now become common, affecting life and traffic. Visibility was recorded at less than 5 meters on Monday morning. Even after sunrise, fog persisted and people had to face a lot of problems.
Chandauli. This year, the effect of cold is being seen ahead of time in the areas around Chandauli and Mughalsarai of UP. Compared to last year, this time the dense fog has started appearing much earlier. Visibility was recorded at less than 5 meters till 7 am on Monday, due to which life and traffic was severely affected. There was so much dense fog on Monday that the sun could not be seen even after sunrise. There was fog on the roads for a long time, due to which people had to face difficulties in daily work. Going out especially in the morning proved risky.
District under fog for fourth consecutive day
Even on Tuesday morning, Chandauli district remained covered in a thick blanket of fog. This was the fourth consecutive day when the effect of fog was visible. Especially in the Terai and rural areas, the density of fog was recorded higher. According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of fog has increased continuously in the last few days.
Improvement in AQI, still problems persist
Due to fog, some improvement was definitely recorded in the air quality index. On Monday, AQI was 184, which came down to 153. However, due to visibility being less than 5 meters, drivers had to face a lot of trouble. Vehicles were seen crawling on the roads with the help of fog lights.
Drop in temperature, cold increased difficulties
Due to continuously increasing cold, the temperature is also falling. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature dropped from 9 degrees to 8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature remained stable at 23 degrees Celsius. The weather remains normal, but the effect of cold has made people alert.
Had to drive with risk
There was fog all around since morning. When people woke up from sleep and came out, seeing the dense fog, they were seen avoiding going out even for important work. School children, especially small children, faced difficulty in going to school. The fog also had a deep impact on traffic. Vehicles were seen moving very slowly on other roads including Chandauli-Mughalsarai-Varanasi NH and traveling had to be done with risk at many places.
