Notorious don of Uttar Pradesh, Shriprakash Shukla was born on 6 October 1973 in Gorakhpur. Shriprakash Shukla did his early studies from Gorakhpur itself. And studied till intermediate from his local school. Mr. Prakash Shukla was very smart and handsome in appearance. He always wore branded clothes, shoes and glasses. He was very fond of guns. But as soon as Shriprakash Shukla took admission in Gorakhpur University, he got enrolled in the world of crime. At the age of 19, Shriprakash Shukla entered the world of crime.
First murder of Shri Prakash Shukla
Shukla, fond of wrestling, was a well-known wrestler in his village. For the first time in the year 1993, he killed a person named Rakesh Tiwari. His only crime was that he had molested Shukla’s sister. Due to which Shri Prakash killed him. Because of this he could not pursue his further studies. The name of Shriprakash Shukla had become another name for terrorism in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Mafia don Shriprakash Shukla used to keep AK-47 rifle with him all the time. According to police records, about Rs 1 crore was spent on the campaign launched by the police to eliminate him. The encounter of Shri Prakash Shukla can be called the most expensive police mission till date.

In the 90s, the shadow of terror of Shriprakash Shukla of Purvanchal was clearly visible. Not only was the common man troubled because of a particular name involved in kidnapping, robbery and illegal extortion, this name had also troubled the administration. Shri Prakash Shukla did not have more than 3 members in his gang at a time. Because of this, the police were having a lot of trouble in reaching him. However, on 23 September 1998, BJP’s sitting MP Sakshi Maharaj reached Delhi with the intention of killing him. After this, Kalyan Singh formed Special Task Force i.e. STF in Uttar Pradesh. Which laid the foundation to end the terror of Shriprakash Shukla. In September 1998, the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police encountered Shriprakash Shukla in Ghaziabad.
