CM Nitish Kumar Visit Sonpur Mela: CM Nitish Kumar made a surprise inspection of Sonpur Fair. During this he met stalls and artists. Emphasized on security and facilities to the officers present. Building Construction Minister Ashok Chaudhary was also present during the inspection.
Prabhat Kumar/Vaishali: There was a stir in the world famous Sonpur fair on Sunday morning. When Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar suddenly arrived for inspection. Seeing the Chief Minister in the fair without prior notice, along with the people, the district administration also came into alert mode. Nitish Kumar inspected the stalls of various government departments in the fair. He went to the Art and Craft section and met the artists and looked carefully at the art works made by them. The artists informed the Chief Minister about their work and the facilities available. The Chief Minister also asked about the schemes of the state government, the benefits of which are being given to the artistes.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister instructed the officials that the people coming to the fair should not face any problem and adequate arrangements for security and facilities should be ensured. Apart from this he stopped at many stalls. Also talked to the employees working there. Building Construction Minister Ashok Chaudhary and many senior officials of the administration were present along with the Chief Minister. He also reviewed the stalls set up by the Health Department, Women Development Corporation, Labor Resources Department and NDRF and took information about their work.

Nitish Kumar also talked to the common people who came to the fair and understood their problems. He took detailed information from the DM and Commissioner regarding the arrangements of the Sonpur fair and also gave suggestions to improve the situation. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is continuously conducting surprise inspections these days. After becoming the Chief Minister for the 10th time, he is insisting on seeing the ground reality of the schemes and arrangements. In this context, Sonpur fair inspection is being considered administratively and politically important.
