Decision on preliminary investigation
According to the DGP’s office, Balwant Singh, including both the officers, has been sent on compulsory leave only after a preliminary inquiry into the developments in Bhuntar. According to the order, this decision has been taken taking seriously the clash between officials during the stay of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Bhuntar on Wednesday and Gaurav Singh will be attached to Mandi Range Office till the investigation is completed, Brijesh Sood and Balwant Singh PHQ Will be attached to Shimla. Along with this, it is written in the order that this order has been given in view of the proper observance of discipline and justice.
what was the whole matter
In fact, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is on a four-day visit to Himachal. During this he also reached Kullu. Along with him was also CM Jai Ram Thakur. The affected people were protesting outside the Bhuntar airport due to the construction of four lanes and the police were stopping them. During this, there was an argument between Sood and SP Gaurav regarding security reasons. During this debate, suddenly SP Gaurav slapped Sood. By the time he understood this sudden development, other policemen came in the middle and another policeman threw kicks at SP Gaurav. Then both the officers were taken by other policemen behind the vehicles.
