Ingredients required to make Christmas Special Chocolate Barfi
-1/2 kg mawa
-300 grams powdered sugar
-500 grams chocolate
-1/2 tsp cardamom powder
-4 silver work
-6 almonds (chopped)
If you want, you can also add cashew nuts or pistachios.
Easy method to make Christmas special chocolate barfi
Step 1: Roasting Mawa
First of all, take a heavy bottomed pan and put mawa in it. Now keep the gas on low and keep stirring the mawa continuously. Take care that the mawa does not stick to the bottom. When a light aroma starts coming from the mawa and its rawness goes away, then turn off the gas.
Step 2: Preparing Dry Fruits
Now crush the almonds or other dry fruits coarsely. This will give good crunch to the barfi and will also enhance the taste.
Step 3: Mixing sugar in mawa
Add powdered sugar and dry fruits to the roasted mawa. Mix well so that the sugar dissolves completely in the mawa. Then add cardamom powder to it and stir again.
Step 4: Melting the Chocolate
Now melt the chocolate with the help of a double boiler. Take care that the chocolate does not burn. When the chocolate melts completely, add half of the mawa into it and mix well.
Step 5: Preparing barfi in tray
Now take a tray and apply some ghee in it. First of all, put plain roasted mawa in the tray and spread it well with a spoon. Set it by pressing lightly.
Step 6: Adding the Chocolate Layer
Now pour chocolate mawa over it and spread it evenly. Apply silver work on top and garnish with chopped almonds.
Step 7: Let the barfi set
Now keep the tray in a cool place for some time. When the barfi sets well, cut it into desired shapes.
