A major revelation has been made in the investigation of the car bomb blast near the Red Fort in Delhi. Investigation by security agencies has now revealed that the blast near the Red Fort was caused by a half-finished IED timer mechanism device. To prepare this explosive, common things like acetone i.e. nail polish remover and powdered sugar were used.
Chinese connection to Red Fort blast
The most shocking thing that has come to light in the investigation of this bomb blast is that this terrorist module used Chinese language to communicate among themselves. According to the confession of the arrested terrorists, Umar had learned the Chinese language in just six months and had created a secret group in which both the conversations and the name of the group were in Chinese. The administrator of this group was Umar himself and the other members of the module also used to talk to him in the same language.
Terrorist Omar’s operation ‘Ameer’
Doctor Umar used to call himself ‘Amir’ i.e. ruler, commander or prince. He knew more than nine languages, including Hindi, Urdu, English, Persian, Arabic, Chinese and French. According to the arrested terrorist Muzzamil, Umar was a very bright person and if he wanted, he could have become a nuclear scientist, but his thinking had become fundamentalist.
Terrorist Omar used to control his comrades in the name of religion, added facts and research to his words and always said, ‘This is the work of religion, this question is not appropriate.’ After the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, a deep hatred towards the security forces had developed in his mind and this hatred pushed him towards planning a major terrorist attack.
The suitcase was filled with bomb making materials.
During interrogation it has also been revealed that the funding network for this module was also ready. About Rs 25 lakh was spent from Dr Shaheen’s account in terrorist activities. Umar and Muzzamil were preparing to shift to Afghanistan or Syria. Earlier, Umar had also gone to Türkiye where he took training and met some handlers, whose real names he did not even know.
How was Faridabad doctor module exposed?
According to the entire plan, a large consignment of explosives was to be taken to Jammu and Kashmir and preparations were made to attack the security forces. But Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two youths and a printing press employee who put up the posters around October 15. When Mufti Irfan’s name came up during interrogation and he was arrested on October 18, the entire module was exposed. After getting the mobile and chat records, the arrest process started from Faridabad and the whole conspiracy came to light one by one.
According to the agencies, the investigation so far clearly shows that the Red Fort blast and the explosives recovered in Faridabad were part of the same network and the brain, commander and mastermind of this module was Dr. Omar Mohammed. Under Operation ‘Ameer’, security agencies are busy identifying every contact associated with this module so that the network can be completely destroyed.
