New Delhi. Amid growing tension along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, the Border Road Organization (BRO) has pushed the neighboring country on the backfoot through its project. This is because in the last two years, BRO has made more than 200 projects. Interestingly, most of these projects have been completed in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh. Both these areas are very important from a strategic point of view.
BRO’s DG Lt Gen Rajiv Chaudhary told, ‘The government has shown more confidence in BRO and has increased the budget. This speed has come due to the use of new technology and change in working style. 102 projects (87 bridges and 15 roads) were completed in 2021, while 103 projects (67 bridges, 30 roads and 6 helipads) were completed in 2022.
