Mathura : The lives of child prisoners serving their sentence in the juvenile home in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh are changing rapidly these days. These children, who once took to the path of crime due to difficult circumstances and wrong decisions, are now learning to speak and write English fluently. This positive change in their lives is the result of the initiative and continuous efforts of Mathura DPO Vikas Kumar. DPO Vikas Kumar believes that after leaving here, these children will be able to create a new identity in the society and play a positive role.
DPO Vikas Kumar said that the children living in the juvenile home have special talent in various fields like art, sports and education. But today they are facing punishment due to their involvement in serious incidents at a young age. After being released from here, they are being given continuous guidance and training so that their social reputation remains intact and they can lead a normal life. Here children are being taught life skills, discipline, social manners and practical education so that they can leave the path of crime and make their place as good citizens in the society. Children are being given special training in English language, which has increased their confidence. The most important thing is that his ability to speak and write English is continuously improving.
Children were hesitant in the beginning
Teacher Praveen Kumar says that in the initial days the children were very shy and were not ready to learn anything. But when he gradually started communicating with them, the children started opening up and now study with great enthusiasm. These children are the future of the country. After leaving here, they are getting ready to give a new direction to their lives.
Someone wants to become an engineer and someone wants to become a doctor.
Praveen Kumar says that children now share their future dreams openly. Some want to become an engineer, some a doctor, some a mechanic. Children are repentant for the crimes they have committed and want to find a respectable place in the society. These children want to leave their mistakes behind and start a new life. The education, guidance and positive environment being provided in the juvenile home has awakened the flame of hope in the lives of these children. After leaving here, these children will not only change themselves, but will also be able to give a new direction to the society.
