Jitendra Kumar, a young farmer from Local 18, said that he has been cultivating beetroot for the last 3 years. He told that we cultivate red beetroot in RK variety. This variety of beetroot gives good yield in this area. The weight of one beetroot is one and a half kg. According to Jitendra, the yield of other green vegetables is also good in this area. Besides, prices of vegetables are also good in this area.
According to Jitendra, after planting in December, beetroot becomes completely ready in 3 months. By March it is taken out and sold. It is cultivated by adding DAP, urea and cow dung. At the same time, when cultivated organically, its yield is even better. Jitendra does farming organically by adding cow dung and earns good profits. They don’t even have to go far to sell it. Beetroot is easily sold in the nearby market. The demand for beetroot is always high in the market. This is the reason why farmers earn big money from its cultivation.
