Muzaffarpur: These days, customers of Gramin Bank in entire North Bihar including Muzaffarpur of Bihar are facing difficulties in receiving government money, pension, scholarship or other types of payments in their accounts. The reason for this is the recent major change made in the IFSC code of the bank. Due to IFSC code not being updated, payments are being returned to the accounts of many beneficiaries, due to which there is confusion among the common people. To clarify this situation, Bihar Gramin Bank’s Assistant Regional Manager Rajiv Ranjan has shared important information.
Manager Rajiv Ranjan said that there is no need for customers to panic at all. This change is only technical and will not have any adverse impact on any customer’s account or the amount deposited in it. He told that earlier the banking services which were operated in the name of North Bihar Gramin Bank have now merged and become a part of Bihar Gramin Bank. For this reason the IFSC codes of the bank branches have been changed. This change was necessary to run smooth transactions in the banking system and facilitate digital payments.
The bank official said that customers who are facing problems in receiving payments can go to the nearest branch and get the new IFSC code. Along with this, after updating KYC, they will also be provided a new passbook, in which the new IFSC code will be clearly mentioned. The KYC process has also been kept very simple for the convenience of the customers. For this, identity cards like Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID or Driving License can be used. He said that those customers who have not updated their KYC for a long time should quickly go to the bank and complete it, so that there is no hindrance in receiving any kind of money.
