Himachal: A historic and emotional moment was witnessed late Saturday night in Shillai area of Sirmaur district, when Chhatradhari Chalda Mahasu Maharaj finally reached the area on his long stay. The moment that was being awaited for years was accomplished in Drabiel village, where the Maharaja made his first stop.
As soon as Mahasu Maharaj reached Drabiel village at around 3 o’clock in the night, the entire area was colored with reverence and devotion. Despite the severe cold, thousands of devotees kept waiting for the darshan of Maharaj the whole night. According to estimates, around 25 to 30 thousand people witnessed this historic occasion.
Devotees have come from far and wide
This is the first time that Chalda Mahasu Maharaj has reached Sirmaur district. On this auspicious occasion, a large number of devotees participated not only from Himachal Pradesh but also from Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The Maharaja was welcomed amidst drums, cheers and religious enthusiasm.
According to the local people and devotees, they were waiting for the arrival of Mahasu Maharaj for the last 5 years. Calling it a moment of good fortune for the area, people said that with the blessings of the Maharaja, blessings will remain on the entire area.

Devotees told that they have deep faith in Mahasu Maharaj and his arrival will bring happiness, peace and prosperity in the area. According to the information, Mahasu Maharaj will be seated in Pashmi village today for one year, where religious rituals and darshan will be organized regularly.
At present, with the arrival of Mahasu Maharaj, there is a festive atmosphere in Shillai area and this religious pilgrimage is a symbol of faith, belief and tradition for the local people.
