Surguja News: These days, in Surguja division of Chhattisgarh, the supplier company has been locked and disappeared, patients are not getting the facility of testing. Till now, no initiative has been taken towards operationalizing the CBC machines purchased for testing patients in health centres. 58 machines purchased after spending crores of rupees are still gathering dust in health centres. The big thing is that these machines have been locked by the supplier company itself. Due to the machines being locked, people are not able to get the benefit of testing facilities in the hospital and the patients are forced to go to private clinics to get themselves tested. The surprising thing is that despite being aware of the actual situation, till now no concrete initiative has been taken by the government administration in this direction. See this report…
58 CBC machines gathering dust in hospitals
The CBC machines supplied for blood testing of patients in the health centers of the state have been lying closed for months. These machines with modern technology are capable of giving reports within a few minutes, but after being locked by the supplier company, they become useless. These machines, purchased at a cost of crores, are gathering dust in hospitals and patients are deprived of testing facilities.
Company-governance dispute becomes a big hurdle
There is a dispute going on between the private company supplying CBC machines and the government regarding re-agent supply. After this dispute, the employees of the company, while leaving the district, locked most of the machines by entering their passwords. After the lockdown, blood tests in hospitals have completely stopped, due to which the patients coming daily are facing a lot of trouble.
Patients resort to private clinics
Due to closure of tests in government hospitals, patients are forced to go to private pathology centers and get expensive tests done. People from the poor class are most affected, who are not able to get the facility of free government testing. Only 53 machines are working, 58 are completely stalled, according to health department data…

The machines in the hospitals are kept switched off as they are.
