What to do in the last 2 days?
For CAT exam, revise whatever you have studied till now. There is no point in reading anything new now.
1. Focus on revision, don’t read new ones
- Formula Sheet: Revise the formula and theorem sheet prepared for Quantitative Ability (QA). Pay special attention to the main formulas of geometry and number system.
- VARC Notes: In VARC, revise the grammar rules you have understood, the Reading Comprehension (RC) strategy you have made and the methods to solve paragraph jumbles.
- DILR Strategy: Recollect once again the set patterns or techniques for solving different types of puzzles that you have learned in the DILR section.
2. Analysis of Mock Test Mistakes
- Not repeating mistakes: Look at the mistakes you made in the previous mock tests. Focus on understanding the questions which were skipped due to lack of time or the areas where mistakes were being made repeatedly.
- Identify Strong Areas: Mark those topics in which your accuracy was more than 90%. Make a strategy to solve these questions first during the exam.
3. Finalize the strategy
- Section-Wise Time Management: You will get 40 minutes for each section. Decide in advance which type of questions you will solve first and which type of questions later in these 40 minutes.
- Number of attempts: Set a target for how many questions you have to solve in each section (this target should be based on the mock score).
- Test Center Location: If possible, check the location of your examination center a day before. This will save you from last minute rush.
4. Keep calm and relax
- Get enough sleep: Get at least 7-8 hours of good sleep the night before the exam. Your brain will work best only when it is completely fresh.
- Light meal: Take light and easily digestible food for the next two days. Eat only home-made food. There will be no risk of health worsening due to this.
- Admit Card and ID: Keep the admit card and valid photo identity card ready now. To avoid any stress on the exam day, keep all the important documents in one file.
