Many dictators have been born in the world, out of which there was one dictator who got the tag of ‘butcher’ for his cruelty with dead bodies. This dictator used to collect the severed heads of his opponents in the fridge. Not only the opposition, the common man would not even be able to hear what he had done to his wife. The story of his death is no less than a film story. In his last moments, his own people refused to recognize him.
Kampala: A country was destined to have such a President, whom history knows as ‘Butcher’. This butcher came to power by showing people dreams of being a ‘hero’, who later became the world’s most dreaded dictator. If anyone raised his voice against him, he was not only killed but this dictator used to eat his flesh. It is even claimed that he used to store severed heads in his fridge. This ‘butcher’ is none other than Idi Amin, the most dreaded dictator in the history of Uganda. There are such stories about him that humanity should shudder after hearing them.

Idi Amin was called the ‘Butcher of Uganda’ and he did not get this name for nothing, his former associates and people who fled the country to save their lives had revealed that this dictator used to torture and kill his political opponents and then eat their flesh. Not only this, he also kept their severed heads in the fridge. It is said that in the 8 years of his rule, he had killed at least 5 lakh civilians.
This is the same dictator who gave only 3 months time to people of Asian origin, most of whom were Indians, to run away to save their lives. After expelling these people from the country, Idi Amin himself destroyed the economy of Uganda.

Amin’s cruelty was not limited to his political opponents, but extended to his personal life as well. He committed domestic violence with one of his wives and when he was not satisfied with the beatings, he killed her and cut her body into pieces. It is said that Amin used to kill people and feed their bodies to crocodiles.

The end of Idi Amin’s rule was no less than a film story. Due to the cruelty and policies of Idi Amin, there was tension between Uganda and the neighboring country Tanzania. This chaos increased when Amin’s army suddenly captured Kagera Salient, an area in Tanzania, and this proved to be the biggest mistake of the ‘Butcher of Uganda’. Tanzanian President Julius Nyerere gave free rein to his army and Idi shuddered after hearing this. He realized his death and ran away from the country.

He took refuge in Saudi Arabia but Uganda never forgave him. When Edhi died in 2003, his country refused to accept his body and Kasai was not even allowed to visit his country’s soil in his last moments.
