New Delhi. India’s top wrestlers on Thursday sat on a dharna for the second consecutive day at Jantar Mantar against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. They are demanding dissolution of WFI. WFI President Singh has been accused of sexual harassment. Meanwhile, Olympian Vinesh Phogat said that the lives of wrestlers are also in danger. Three-time Commonwealth champion Vinesh said, ‘We are in danger of life, we have not even taken police protection.’
In view of the allegations of sexual exploitation against Singh, Vinesh said, ‘When exploitation happens, it happens in a room where cameras are not installed. Those girls are also with us who can prove it. He further said, ‘Today is the second day of protest and we have not received any satisfactory response from the government. We will ensure that Brij Bhushan Singh resigns and he is jailed. We will also file a case.
