The petition filed in the Supreme Court of CAT is to be heard soon. CAT National President BC Bhartia and General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal said that the Centre’s move is commendable on the demand made by the traders association. Bhartia and Khandelwal said that CAT will continue its petition in the Supreme Court on this issue. Actually, CAT has blamed Facebook (Facebook) for misusing data of Indian users with WhatsApp. In this, the organization has also demanded the Supreme Court to direct the government to formulate a comprehensive policy on data privacy.

‘Indian users’ data is being sold abroad’
Bhartia and Khandelwal said that this is not only a matter of WhatsApp or Facebook violating the fundamental rights of citizens, but also related to hundreds of other equally traded platforms and applications in India. All applications and platforms are collecting and misusing the data of Indian users. This data of Indian users is being sold in India and abroad.
