The online e-ticketing platform AbhiBus on Thursday announced its partnership with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). That is, now IRCTC users will also be able to book bus tickets online. In a release, it was informed that through this partnership IRCTC will get bus inventory of about 100,000 bus routes. And customers will be able to book AC / Non-AC bus tickets as per their requirement.

It was told in the release that more than 9 lakh train tickets are booked on IRCTC every day. While AbhiBus has so far collected 45 million customers’ data from launching Abhibus.com and its mobile apps e-ticket platform. With this partnership, IRCTC aims to make travel booking easier for its customers. If they get a waiting list on the train, they can see the availability of the instant bus. For this, they will not have to go from one platform to another, this will give travelers a hassle-free booking experience.

Currently, more than 30 thousand bookings are being made on AbhiBus every day for the last three months under partnership with different state transport corporations. The release stated that AbhiBus in partnership with IRCTC will help its millions of passengers to know the best bus inventory. IRCTC said that with buses of various state roadways transport corporations and private bus operators, users will be able to choose more than 1 lakh routes.
