Katihar: Usually, after the formation of a new government, work is done very fast in the beginning. Later, however, news of negligence keeps coming one after the other. A new NDA government has been formed in Bihar. This time also the Chief Minister is Nitish Kumar but many ministers have changed. In such a situation, the new government has also started its work. After the formation of the new government, the attitude of the administration against encroachment and illegal occupations in Bihar is becoming more strict. As soon as Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary took over the Home Department, bulldozer action is being seen continuously across the state. In the same sequence, a joint team of police and administration took major action to remove encroachment from the Ganga Ghat complex in Manihari of Katihar district.
There was chaos in the area as soon as the administrative team reached the Ganga Ghat complex with JCB, bulldozer and crane. In the presence of heavy police force, many illegal constructions were demolished one after the other. This entire campaign was conducted under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Officer Triloki Nath Singh. Manihari police station chief cum police inspector Pankaj Anand was also present on the spot and took charge of the entire operation.
The encroachers claimed that they have been living here for years and are somehow making a living by staying here. The administration continued the action keeping in mind public interest and government instructions. Executive Officer Arvind Kumar Paswan said that this campaign was conducted in the interest of the general public and with the objective of freeing the ghat from encroachment. It is noteworthy that these continuous bulldozer actions in Bihar have created a lot of fear among the mafia and illegal encroachers. It is clear from the strict action mode of Home Minister Samrat Choudhary that now the illegal encroachers are not well.
