The special thing is that it is light and does not weigh heavily on health. So let us know the easy and wonderful way to make it.
Material-
8 slices whole wheat or white bread
1 liter milk
2–3 tbsp sugar or sweetener of your choice
½ tsp cardamom powder
8–10 saffron threads
1 tablespoon cornstarch or ground oats
1 tablespoon chopped almonds
1 tablespoon chopped pistachios
1 tsp rose water (optional)
Method of preparation (Step by Step)
Boil Milk:
Pour milk in a deep kadai or pan and boil it on medium flame. When the milk starts boiling, reduce the flame and keep stirring the milk so that it does not stick to the bottom.
Thicken Milk:
Keep cooking the milk on low flame for 10-15 minutes. Gradually the milk will become slightly thick. If you want to make a thicker rasmalai, add cornstarch or ground oats dissolved in some water and mix well.
Add flavor:
Now add sugar or sweetener, cardamom powder and saffron in it. Stir well so that all the aroma and flavor dissolves in the milk. If you want, you can also add a little rose water to it.
Prepare the bread:
Cut the edges of the bread slices and cut them into round shapes with the help of a bowl or cookie cutter. This will also improve the look of Rasmalai.
Soaked like this:
Remove the milk from the flame and let it become lukewarm. Now arrange bread pieces in a wide plate or bowl and pour the prepared milk mixture on top. Let the bread soak for about 10-12 minutes so that it absorbs the milk properly.
Garnishing:
Add chopped almonds and pistachios on top. This improves both the taste and texture of Rasmalai.
cool off:
Finally, keep the bread rasmalai in the refrigerator for 1 hour. Serve after it cools down.
Method of serving-Serve cold bread rasmalai as dessert. It is liked by both children and adults and is a perfect sweet dish for festivals or special occasions. This sweet, which takes about 15-20 minutes of hard work, gives a good balance of both taste and health.
