It is not too spicy and gets ready in less time. The special thing is that it does not require much preparation to make it. Just grate the cabbage, add potatoes, add spices and cook on the pan. Essential ingredients for Gobi Tikki
– Cauliflower – 2 cups, grated
– Green chilli – 2, finely chopped
– Onion – 1, finely chopped
– Red chilli powder – half teaspoon
– Potatoes – 2 boiled
– Coriander powder – half teaspoon
– Dry mango powder – half teaspoon
– Gram flour – 2 spoons
– Garam masala – half teaspoon
– Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoons
– Semolina – 1 teaspoon
– Salt – as per taste
– Oil – as per need
Easy method of making Gobi Tikki
Step 1: Preparing the Cabbage
First of all, wash and clean the cabbage thoroughly. Take care that there is no soil or small leaves left in it. After washing, grate it and put it in a big vessel.
Step 2: Preparing the Mixture
Now mash the boiled potatoes well and mix them with the cabbage. After this add finely chopped onion, green chilli, red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, dry mango powder and salt.
Mix finely chopped coriander leaves, gram flour and semolina in it. Semolina makes the tikkis a little crispy on the outside while gram flour keeps the mixture bound well.
Now mix this entire mixture well with hands so that every spice dissolves equally in the cabbage and potatoes.
Step 3: Making the Tikkis
Apply some oil on your hands. Now take a small portion of the mixture and make it round and flatten it slightly. Prepare all the tikkis in the same manner.
Step 4: Grilling
Heat the pan and pour some oil on it. When the oil becomes slightly hot, place the tikkis on the pan. Keep the flame medium so that the tikkis become crispy from outside and soft from inside.
Bake the tikkis until they turn golden on both sides. When the color changes to light brown and the aroma starts coming, understand that the tikki is ready.
method of serving
Take out the hot tikkis in a plate and serve with green chutney, tamarind chutney or tomato ketchup. You can also serve it with tea. If you want, you can also eat it by squeezing a little lemon on top.

– If there is too much water in the cabbage then squeeze it lightly.
– You can increase or decrease the amount of semolina as per your taste.
If you are making it for children then add less chilli.
