Sarhasa: The students of Electrical Engineering Department of Saharsa Engineering College have once again made the district proud. AeroGange Smart Surveillance System developed by second year student Dilshad Akhtar and his team has been selected at the national level for the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon 2025.
Features of AeroGange System
This device designed by the team is not an ordinary camera, but a smart surveillance system. Which has been specially prepared for the security of border areas. It has been fitted with high-resolution sensors that provide clear visuals even in fog or mist. This feature can prove useful especially in the border areas of North India. Where fog persists for a long time in winter.
This system also includes human movement detection technology. Which immediately detects any suspicious movement. Sends alerts to security agencies. AeroGange is fully GPS integrated. Due to which real-time location, video feed and data of active activities can be tracked immediately.
Big achievement of local talent
According to Dilshad Akhtar, this system is completely remote-operated. This means that the soldiers deployed on the border can keep vigil even from several kilometers away. Can take necessary action. It continuously transmits high quality video and data, increasing the accuracy and speed of security operations. The team has prepared this prototype for just Rs 1 lakh, but for large-scale use by security agencies, its estimated cost can be Rs 1 to 2 crore. Experts believe that its technical usefulness and security benefits fully justify this investment.
