Janjgir Champa: Special intensive revision of the voter list is going on in Chhattisgarh, under which the BLO is going door-to-door to verify the voters. In this process, where the person was residing in the year 2003, and in which assembly and in which part number he was registered at that time. It has been made mandatory to fill all these details, but due to general public not being aware of these information, people are facing many types of difficulties in verification. The concerned officer has given information about this.
In this regard, Assembly Election Officer Pawan Kosma said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the work of SIR (Special Inquiry Report) is going on in the entire Chhattisgarh as well as Janjgir Assembly, it has started on 4th November which will continue till 4th December in which the BLO is going door-to-door taking the counting sheets. At present, we have entered more than 50% of the Janjgir-Champa assembly constituency, and in the remaining ones too, action is being taken in mission mode. In this SIR, the voter list of 2003 has been made the basis, because earlier in 2003 there was a deep revision of the voter list, if any voter’s name is there, then they have to give their details, if any voter is currently below 40 years of age, that is, their name is in the voter list of 2003. If not in the list, such voters will have to provide details of their mother or father, or their grandmother or grandfather and fill the election processing details.
What to do if your name is not in the voter list in 2003?
The official said that for voters whose names are not there in the 2003 voter list, nor are the names of their parents, such voters will have to submit documents regarding their birth and residence, and after hearing them, their applications will be resolved. The instructions are that it is not necessary for the voter’s name to be in the voter list of Chhattisgarh only. If the name is registered in the voter list of any state outside Chhattisgarh, then his or his father’s name will also be valid, his name in the voter list of 2003 will be considered valid and he will be eligible.
