Madhepura. The case of shooting and killing the president of Chausa’s Jan Adhikar Chhatra Parishad under Udakishunganj subdivision of Madhepura district of Bihar has caught fire. In protest against the murder, people have blocked Bhatgama Kishunganj State Highway-58 on Saturday morning. During this, people pelted stones at the police and administration officials who came to hold talks with the angry people and chased them away. Angry people also thrashed journalists. A journalist and 4 policemen have been injured in the whole episode, whose treatment is going on at Chausa PHC. At present, people are standing on the road demanding the SP to be called on the spot and the police station president removed.
According to the information, there was an atmosphere of panic in the area after the murder. Angry people have blocked the Udakishunganj Bhatgama main road since morning. Due to the jam, there is a long queue of vehicles on the main road connecting Madhepura and Bhagalpur. During this, the police and administration officials who went to pacify the protesting people by blocking the road, were talking to calm the atmosphere when the crowd became furious.
