Patna: Along with cold, the havoc of fog is also increasing in Bihar. These days the situation has become very bad. Dense fog is being seen in many districts in the morning. In the capital Patna, fog engulfed the roads around 9 pm. This morning most of the districts woke up amidst dense fog. On Wednesday, visibility reduced to 200 meters in Gayaji and Valmikinagar. IMD has issued yellow alert for the next two days in 18 districts.
People of these districts should be careful
IMD has issued an alert warning people that till December 20, 18 districts of the state including West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Gopalganj, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Siwan, Saran, Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal, Vaishali, Samastipur will remain under the grip of very dense fog. Visibility is expected to be very low in the morning and night. This will affect road, rail and air traffic. In such a situation, even a little carelessness can prove costly, hence people have been advised to be especially cautious.
Cold will increase from December 22
According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of a rapid increase in the intensity of cold after December 19. People may feel severe cold in the coming days.
The Meteorological Department has warned that cold wave like conditions may arise in Bihar after December 22. Due to this, the day temperature may also drop significantly below normal in many districts. At present, people will continue to face problems due to fog while the temperature will keep fluctuating.
what happened in the last 24 hours
The lowest night temperature recorded in Kaimur district during the last 24 hours was 6.8°C. Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Rohtas and Gaya ji recorded night temperatures of less than 10°C. Whereas the highest temperature of the day was recorded in Forbesganj at 28.2°C. A drop of up to 2°C was observed in day temperature in most parts. This decline has been seen due to fog even during the day.
